The spaceship Arcadia and her crew are banished outlaws from Earth with a large bounty on each of their heads. The chivalrous Captain Harlock, genius Tochiro and beautiful Emeraldas soon discover that the Illumidas, a ruthless alien race, has taken over Earth and many other planets in the galaxy. Captain Harlock continues to do battle with the Illumidas as he continues the search for a mythical planet where people can live free from the ravages of war.
